µ Book Two of the READING RUSH Thank you to Hachette Children s Group for sending me an ebook review copy through NetGalley of A Tale of Magic written by Chris Colfer This was a wondrous book and I enjoyed it immensely I was hooked into the story from the first page and was enthralled at every twist and turn that happened I loved the journey this book took you on, following Brystal Evergreen an exceptional girl in a set in stone dull world She discovers so much about herself, about the truth and about what the world truly could be if change was in place She found magic and with her magic she found a great leader and mentor in Madame Weatherberry, she found she was capable of great things in her life and she found people, friends, a family just like Loved loved loved this book For any fans of Chris Colfers other series Land of Stories, this book is a must read for you The book follows Bystal and her friends magical adventure I can t really reveal too much without spoilers but needless to say, I was squealing and jumping around while reading the book It honestly made me so happy and I honestly loved it Chris Colfer is a name that s popped up a lot in the entertainment business Some of you may know him as the actor who played Kurt Hummel in the TV show Glee Others may know him for his bestselling book series for children, The Land of Stories He s made a pretty big name for himself in the past decade, and is still going strong from what I hear But I ve neither seen Glee nor read his Land of Stories book series, but his most recent book, A Tale of Magic, did catch my eye in my local Barnes and Noble I was hesitant to read it, since other fantasy books I ve read, such as Marabel and the Book of Fate turned out to be huge disappointments Thankfully, A Tale of Magic is marginally better than Marabel, but it
